3A State Baseball Championship

For the past 8 or 9 years I have watched my nephew play league , travel , junior high, and now jv and varsity baseball.

Cullen's high school team, Kossuth, was playing for the 3A State Baseball Championship this week in Jackson. I couldn't miss getting the chance to cheer on the AGGIES.

Game 1 again the Sumrall Bobcats was long and hot! 11 innings and almost 4 hours long. Kossuth won. We needed one more win. By the way, this is a rematch from last year. Kossuth won!! Sumrall was out for revenge.

Yesterday was Game 2. Kossuth likes to rally from behind to win the game. It makes a lot of people nervous! We were losing 3-2 going into the bottom of the 7th. We had to score at least one to tie and two to win. Bases are loaded. No outs. New pitcher comes in. Next batter walks. Tying run scores. Still no outs. The pitcher hits the batter! Automatically goes to first. Winning run scores! GAME ENDS!! Kossuth wins back to back championships! It was worth all the sweat to see the smiles on their faces!

Can't wait for next season! Let's make it back to back to back wins!

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride....

UNTIL NOW!!!!

Nathan and I are engaged! I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with him! :)

The Proposal

We have been moving me all day. He took me to the bedroom and asked me if I had anything else that we needed to take with this load. I handed him two pairs of boots and a pair of Toms for him to take to the car. Then, he asked me what that box was on the floor. I responded with "probably trash". Nathan asked to me to open it up. When I did, I was speechless!! I turned around and he asked me to marry him! It was PERFECT!

The Ring.

No date as been set yet, but we know it will be sometime this year!

We are so excited about starting this new chapter in our lives!
