Our First Shower

Nathan and I had our first shower at my home church in Corinth on Oct. 19. We were extremely blessed by the ladies of Oakland!! Here are some pictures of that wonderful afternoon! The decorations were absolutely beautiful. I loved the Bride dress as the centerpiece. I will add an picture of the all the hostesses later on. :)

Have no fear...

I am alive and well. Just extremely busy with work and wedding planning! It seems like every weekend from now til the wedding (Dec. 20) is booked. It is either football games (HailState), trips to Corinth for planning, showers, and bachelorette party. When I get a rare weekend in Jackson, I will be relaxing as much as I can.

I am hoping to catch up with my blogging. I have a lot to cover. Birthday parties, wedding plans, football games, start of school. Gah! I am tired just thinking about it all!

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the week!

1 down 4 to go

Last night my oldest niece, Bailee, graduated high school! How am I old enough to have a niece graduating?!

My mom and brother flew up to South Carolina on Wednesday to see her graduate. I hate that she lives so far away!  Unfortunately, I did not get to attend the ceremony because of work (I am teaching summer school for 2 weeks). I hate that I missed it, but at least I got to see pictures.

Mom said that it only lasted 30 minutes! Wish that they lasted that long down here. :)

I am so very thankful that Bailee is a part of lives now! It is hard to imagine her not being part of the family!

In honor of Throwback Thursday here are a few pictures of Bailee.

I hope you have a blast at college!!! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks! :)

3A State Baseball Championship

For the past 8 or 9 years I have watched my nephew play league , travel , junior high, and now jv and varsity baseball.

Cullen's high school team, Kossuth, was playing for the 3A State Baseball Championship this week in Jackson. I couldn't miss getting the chance to cheer on the AGGIES.

Game 1 again the Sumrall Bobcats was long and hot! 11 innings and almost 4 hours long. Kossuth won. We needed one more win. By the way, this is a rematch from last year. Kossuth won!! Sumrall was out for revenge.

Yesterday was Game 2. Kossuth likes to rally from behind to win the game. It makes a lot of people nervous! We were losing 3-2 going into the bottom of the 7th. We had to score at least one to tie and two to win. Bases are loaded. No outs. New pitcher comes in. Next batter walks. Tying run scores. Still no outs. The pitcher hits the batter! Automatically goes to first. Winning run scores! GAME ENDS!! Kossuth wins back to back championships! It was worth all the sweat to see the smiles on their faces!

Can't wait for next season! Let's make it back to back to back wins!

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride....

UNTIL NOW!!!!

Nathan and I are engaged! I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with him! :)

The Proposal

We have been moving me all day. He took me to the bedroom and asked me if I had anything else that we needed to take with this load. I handed him two pairs of boots and a pair of Toms for him to take to the car. Then, he asked me what that box was on the floor. I responded with "probably trash". Nathan asked to me to open it up. When I did, I was speechless!! I turned around and he asked me to marry him! It was PERFECT!

The Ring.

No date as been set yet, but we know it will be sometime this year!

We are so excited about starting this new chapter in our lives!

March Update

Hello again! Thought I abandon yall again? Nope, just been living life. March was a busy month and it went by quickly. The major events were Spring Break, St. Paddy's Parade, and the Color Me Rad.

Spring Break

I packed my bags and took off for north MS. It was so great to enjoy some time at my parents house. I got to love and play with my youngest niece. She loves singing for the camera. I captured her singing when we were out for dinner.

After a few days in Corinth, I headed down to Mantachie to spend a few days with the best friend and her baby, Parker. I loved getting to play with Parker. He has started making a duck face. I finally caught it on my last day there.

Here is another picture, just for fun!

I enjoyed both my visit to north MS. I can't wait til we move closer. I hope it is soon!

Color Me Rad

If you remember, I ran the race last year too. You can find that post here. The weather was perfect. We had a blast. Didn't do a lot of running this year, but that didn't matter.

Ran into a hometown friend during the race. We stopped and took a picture.

Here are a few more pictures.

St. Paddy's Day Parade

This was my second year to fully experience the parade. You can read about last years here. We arrived at the tailgating area around 9 am. The Parade didn't start til 2. We had a blast hanging out with friends before the parade started. The weather was perfect. Partly cloudy with highs near 60. This year I did not burn! Woo hoo!

It is always a good time to meet up with friends and just relaxed. Missed Nathan this year. Stupid tax season!

That basically sums up my March.

Oh! One thing is for sure. I sure didn't get to see Nathan as much as I wanted to. I have loved taking him dinner to his office. It is about the only time we get to eat together. One day when I was there, I snapped this picture for SnapChat. Isn't he cute with his glasses on and working hard?
